Rules

  1. Learn these vocabulary words using some other activity.
    • Trick-or-treat.
    • Black cat.
    • Bat.
    • Skull.
    • Skeleton.
    • Witch.
    • Pirate.
    • Pumpkin.
    • Ghost.
    • Spider.
    • Spider web.
    • Candy.
  2. Make pairs.
  3. Give each pair a worksheet.
  4. Students look for words. When they find a word in the wordsearch, they circle it and check it with a teacher. If it's correct, they circle the corresponding picture on the Bingo board.
  5. After 10 minutes or so, count how many Bingos each pair made.

Notes

  • For older students, maybe the teacher doesn't need to check the answers. Younger students can find words in the word search but don't know how to read, so when the teacher checks the circled word, the teacher should say it out loud.
  • Many of the above vocabulary words are the same in English and Japanese, so it won't take long for students to learn them all.
