  • Confirm how to say the months while the teacher is putting up the picture cards.
  • Students close their eyes and the teacher takes away one of the cards. When they become used to it, take away any number of cards.

  • A number of students will come to the front and each chooses one card. (The other students are not to see the cards they pick)
  • The card they have may not be their birthday month but that is ok. Students are to say the month clearly.
  • Ask the students in the front, "When is your birthday?" and the kids in the front will say their month together at the same time.
  • When they become used to it, other students as well as the teachers will ask the students in the front, "When is your birthday?"
  • While checking to make sure the kids are answering, switch to them asking for their actual

birthday.

  • Listen to 1st～31st and mark on the worksheet the numbers.
  • Check the birthdays and then say them.
  • From the materials, listen in order to how 1st～31st is said.
  • Then, listen to the numbers in random order and mark what is said on the worksheet.
  • Ask for birthdays and check.

  • From the pictures on the middle of the page, think about when that day is and what holiday that might be.
  • Write your most important day in the space provided then tell the class.
  • Ask when the holidays are from the pictures on the middle of the page.
  • Listen to the materials and check the answers
  • Fill out "Your most important day" with either your birthday or whatever your most important day is. Students will present to class.

○ Let's try and say our birthdays
  • Look at the picture cards and when your birthday month is shown, stand up and say "My birthday is March eighteenth" (for example)
  • While showing the picture cards, check that the student can say their birthday.
  • When the student's birthday month is shown, ask them "When is your birthday?" The students will then respond.

  • 児童に目をつぶらせ，1枚の教師用絵カードを隠す。慣れてきたら，隠す教師用絵カードの枚数を増やす。

  • 数人の児童が前に出て，各自，教師用絵カードから1枚選び，ほかの児童に見せないように持って1列に並ぶ。
  • 持った絵カードが実際の誕生月と違う月でも，しっかり言う。
  • 前の児童に，When is your birthday? と尋ね，前の児童は自分が持っているカードの月を一弃に答える。
  • 慣れてきたら，ほかの児童も指導者と一緒に，前 の児童に一弃にWhen is your birthday? と尋ねさせる。
  • 指導者は答えを確認しながら実際の誕生日も尋ねる。

  • 1～31の序数を聞き，ワークシートの数字に印をつける。
