Hot Snow!: Learn English with "ALT Doraemon!"
Doraemon Comic: "HOT SNOW"
An ESL adaption by Renaud Davies
The following lesson contains a partly translated Doraemon comic followed by a grammar and word hunt section. Students must translate the comic in groups of three or four and then complete the grammar and vocabulary sections. Students raise their hands upon completion of a page and have the ALT and JTE correct it. One point is given for a perfect translation, half a point if students can translate the general meaning, and zero points if the translation is completely different from the original. The group with the most points is the winner.
Note: There are three versions. Two advanced versions which require students to translate the Japanese into English and then an easier version which requires students to translate the English into Japanese. Just click on the links below! Enjoy!!
