Description

  • Make groups.
  • Pick a simple object for each group. It should be an object that could have many uses. Each group must think of many uses for the object. For example, cup, stone, plate, knife, piece of string, nail, blanket, piece of wood, box of matches, shoebox, sheet of paper, piece of cotton wool, liter of water, lump of clay.
  • Each group gives hints to the rest of the class about the object by saying what they will do with it. For example:
    • I will water plants with it.
    • I will drink from it.
    • I will make sandcastles with it.
  • Do this for all the groups.
  • Next, assign the groups new objects, and ask them to pick less obvious sentences.
