	If you want to leave the country and come back to Japan to continue the JET Programme, you MUST get a re-entry permit for your visa! There are two types available, singe re-entry (3,000円) and multiple re-entry (6,000円). The Yuzawa Ogachi Recitation & Speech Contest (湯沢雄勝英語暗唱弁論大会, yuzawa ogachi eigo anshou benron taikai) is an annual competition that is held in Yuzawa city for junior high school students in Yuzawa city, Ugo town, and Higashinaruse village.

== General Information==
Each school may send up to 3 participants, however if 3 students are selected at least one must write and perform a speech, and one other must perform a recitation. Having 3 speeches or 3 recitations is forbidden. Both recitations and speeches have time limits of 5 minutes.

The contest is held every year in central Yuzawa, at the Yuzawa Royal Hotel in the 2nd floor hall. The morning portion is reserved for recitations and the afternoon portion is reserved for speeches.

This contest is judged by 3 JTEs from area senior high schools, as well as one senior high school ALT from Yuzawa.

The recitation participants are judged on 3 points, some of which have several sub-points.

==Ingredients==
*Lotus root; 190g grated, 60g finely chopped
*60g onion, finely chopped
*50g carrot
*50g [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_beans green beans] (いんげん)
*60g wheat flour
*45g rible flour
*480g carrot juice
*Salt
*Some parsley
*Sesame oil
*Soy sauce

==Recipe==
#Sauté the onion and lotus root (60g) on the frying pan. Add salt and soy sauce to taste.
#Mix the 190g grated lotus root, the sautéed onion and lotus root, wheat flour, and ½ tsp salt. Divide it into 5 equal parts and mould into burgers.
#Pan fry the burgers in a nice amount of oil until brown.
#Cut the carrot into 5mm cubes, and steam cook them.
#Cook the green beans in salty water, then rinse in cold water and cut into 3 or 4 pieces.
#Put the carrot juice and rible flour into a pot and blend together. Turn on heat and while stirring with a wooden spatula, bring to the boil. The sauce should thicken. Add salt and soy sauce to taste.
#Put the cooked burgers, carrots, beans and sauce on a plate. Top off with some parsley.
