Halloween Jeopardy Game

From Akita Wiki

This powerpoint game was made by Emerald using Melissa Noad's Christmas Jeopardy Game powerpoint as a template.

Instructions

You will need a projector, screen, computer, and speakers for this game. Video clips are included, so make sure they run on your computer before you play the game in class.

Directions

  1. Divide the students in teams. Have students janken to choose the order that they will answer in in their groups. The first student to answer in each group will stand up (this stops one student from answering all the questions).
  2. The teacher will choose the first question. Click on the category and number. The higher the number, the harder the question (but it is worth that many points).
  3. The first student to raise their hand and answer correctly gets the number of points that the question was worth and gets to choose the next topic and point value.
  4. The group with the most points at the end is the winner.

Video Clip Information

  • If the video clips don't play you may need to download them and embed them into the powerpoint yourself.
  • I have created a Google Docs folder of all the videos used in the powerpoint so you can download them if necessary.
  • I find that embedding the video clips directly into the powerpoint degrades the quality of the clip significantly. If you find this happens to you, you can embed a media player into your slides and use it to play the video clips.
  • Instructions on how to embed windows media player into powerpoint slides can be found here.
