Voicethread

From Akita Wiki

A Voicethread is a great web 2.0 tool that will allow your students to practice speaking and listening with native speakers in a safe and controlled environment that is completely organized and managed by you. Ever thought it would be cool to have your students skype with family back home but scratched the idea due to time issues? With voicethread students can connect with your family back home or even with other ALTs anytime they want. It is free and super easy to use. I used this lesson to introduce my family and other ALTs to my students and it was a BIG success. I should also mention that voicethread is mobile. Check out this link to learn more: http://voicethread.com/mobile/

Note: You can use screencast-o-matic to record your voicethread to show as a video if you are unable to access internet during a lesson.
