Battle Ship
BATTLE SHIP Difficulty: Easy to Hard (Depending on the grammar and verbs you use.)
This is a popular game where students get to practice a specific grammar point while having fun trying to destroy the enemy's ships. I have attached both an example and an empty handout for download. The rules are as follows:
Students form pairs. Each student secretly draws three ships on their grid in the area entitled "Your Ocean". There is a large medium and small ship. Students fold their paper so that the other player can not see where their ships are located. Next, students guess where the other student's ships are by asking questions. When students ask questions they are actually targeting an area on the grid like in chess. If a student is hit they must say yes to the question. If the student is not hit then they say no. In order to remember which spots you have attacked you should mark the area's in the area entitled "Enemy's Ocean". This way you avoid attacking the same spot. The first player to destroy all of the the other player's ships is the winner. You can use any grammar you like. Enjoy!!!
