People often will use a Japanese loan word instead of the Japanese equivalent when talking to a foreigner. Using these same loan words in class, that most everyone knows, can be fun. It can also help your students build confidence in speaking.

  • Challenge, level up, lucky, hiking, swimming, game, TV (terebi), cheese, Mario Kart, Nintendo, sorry, my ~ (my car, my home, ...), whiskey, wine, beer, coffee, apple, camera, ....
