- Pause before "I wanna wish you a merry Christmas." Teach "I wanna wish you a merry Christmas ... from the bottom of my heart."
- Start the music. On each "merry", put both arms straight out with thumbs up.
- Between each "I wanna wish you a merry Christmas", jump and turn 180 degrees.
- On "from the bottom of my heart", put your hands on your heart.
- When "Feliz navidad" starts again, turn clockwise and repeat.
Notes
- Feliz Navidad is a famous Christmas song by Jose Feliciano. The words are in English and Spanish.
- This dance is simple, so you can teach it while playing the song. One time through the song is enough for 4th-6th graders. 1st-3rd graders might need to go through the song one and a half times.
Variations
- Make your own dance steps. Self-conscious 5th and 6th grade classes might consider this dance too easy or silly.
- Don't teach "Prospero ano y felizidad." It is slightly difficult.
Lyrics
Feliz navidad. Feliz navidad. Feliz navidad, prospero ano y feliz y dad. I wanna wish you a merry Christmas. I wanna wish you a merry Christmas. I wanna wish you a merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart.
