Make Us Say It
Prepare a 4 by 4 grid. In each square, put a word or expression. Put in a few that are particular to you and your JTE (for example “I’m from the United Kingdom”, “I can play the euphonium”). Explain that the goal of the games is to ask questions that will prompt the ALT or JTE to say the things on the board. Demonstrate with one example. Seat the students in groups or 4 or 5. Give them a few minutes to think of questions that would prompt the words in the squares. Call out a grid reference and the first team to raise their hand can answer for points.
