Preparation
- Get some large square white paper. It doesn't need to be a perfect square, so cutting B4 or A3 is fine. Red or green is OK.
- Make sure everyone has scissors.
Description
- Fold the paper in half, and then half the other way.
- Cut one corner so it's round. If you cut the correct one, when you unfold it it'll be a circle.
- With your scissors, cut many patterns into the rectangle. Make sure not to cut entirely through any edge.
- Unfold, and you have a snowflake.
Variations
- Instead of a regular piece of paper, start with a narrow strip of white paper. Fold it in half four times, like a spring. Cut the corners to make them roundish. Cut patterns into the rectangle. Unfold, and you have a chain of snowflakes. Tape these together to make larger classroom decorations.
