Rules: Write a letter on the board that is easy to use. A, B and C are good. Students have 5 minutes to write down as many words as possible that begin with that letter. Students can get extra points if they can also write a short sentence using the word. Note, students fill in their sheet individually within small groups. Students are not allowed to look at each otherʼs sheets during those five minutes. After 5 min.ʼs ask students to stop writing and share what they have with the other students in their group. Students who have the same word or sentence receive no points for the word or sentence. The student with the most points is the winner. In brief, to win the game students must think of unique words and sentences. Extra: You may focus on a grammar point as well. For example: Students who use a certain grammar in their sentence can get bonus points. The conditional, Superlatives, etc...
