What Did You Say?
What Did You Say?
A fun activity for students to practice listening to the differences between sounds such as R and L as well as V and B. The teacher simply reads one word from the top and one form the side. Students, in groups of three or four, listen and circle the intersecting word. Once a group has managed to circle a few words they can then try to put the words together to form sentences. It is recommended that teachers use vocabulary that students are currently studying and even a grammar point or two if possible. Each word used in a sentence is one point.
Note: Words that are called may be used countless times as long as a different sentence is produced. For example:
Group One: I like to walk. (4 points)
Group Two: I like to walk on Sundays. ( 6 points)
Group Three: I like to walk on Sundays in the morning. (9 points)
Enjoy!!
