Preparation
- Make a large colorful cube with the amounts $100, $150, $200, $300 written on the sides along with one lose a turn side and one bankrupt side.
- Also make 2 dice for each group. On Die #1, write phrases like: I have a friend, She has a dog, I see a penguin, They have a pet, He has a girlfriend, We know a teacher. On Die #2 write: very large, interesting, wonderful, very noisy, very beautiful and quite strange.
- On the board draw a scorecard for each team with spaces for current round and game total.
Rules
- Students are divided into groups.
- The first team rolls the die. If they roll a monetary amount they may roll the other two dice.
- The students use what come up on the dice to make a sentence. For example: Die #1 plus (which/who is) plus Die #2. "I have a friend who is very interesting."
- Go to the next team.
- The team with the most money at the end of the game is the winner.
