Getting internet

Internet in Japan is very fast and relatively affordable. Prices vary (even within the same city) depending on your address. In some places, ADSL is very popular and is recommended. DSL runs on your phone line, in addition to your normal telephone. On the other hand, DSL is not as fast as fiber, the other good choice. Fiber is typically more expensive but a lot faster. In some rural locations, the prices may be comparable.
