Description

  • Make origami boxes using scratch paper. Boxes can be made from square or rectangular paper, and most students learn to make them sometime in elementary school, so making them again is easy.
  • After finishing the boxes, students take out an eraser.
  • The teacher demonstrates, and students copy, use of four prepositions -- on, in, by, and under.

Notes

  • Introducing phrases this way means you don't need much explanation in Japanese. Students learn what the words mean entirely using English and gestures. After that, using Japanese to confirm the meaning is good.
