make groups of four, each group has two sets of cards and one copy of the clue sheet. Players A and B form one team and players C and D form the opposing teams. The students spread both sets of cards face down in front of them and place the clue sheet in the center of the four desks. Player A begins by touching one of the cards in front of player C or D and asks, ‘Is this a ___?” (using the clue sheet as a guide). Player C or D lifts the card without letting A or B see it and answers, “Yes, it is.” Or “No, it isn’t.” If the card is the object that A asked about, C or D answers, “Yes, it is”, then gives the card to A, and A has another turn. If the card is a different object from the one A asked about, then C or D answers, ‘No, it isn’t” and another member takes a turn. The object of the game if for one team to collect more cards than the other. This activity takes a long time if you have a lot of cards. 12 items is a good number of items. This means that you will need a clue sheet with pictures of those 12 items and twelve pairs of cards with the same pictures.
