  • Make a worksheet with a tree where each branch has two answers, one for each sound. For example, "right" and "light". 5 levels deep is fine.


  1. Say one of the two words. Students listen and circle the word.
  2. For the next word, students continue from below the word they just circled.
  3. At the end, check the answers.


  • Once the students are skilled, let them quiz the ALT. That is, the ALT leaves the room, the students choose a target path, and try to guide the ALT there.
