Talk:Junior high school English textbooks

I'm a little confused what the purpose of the colspan="5" rows is? Is it to delineate separate periods of concurrent textbooks? I ask because they don't sort very well by anything other than "#". --SeanC (talk) 09:46, 20 October 2020 (JST)
- Yes, it was originally for separating the concurrent textbooks. I never got around to making it look good.
Actually I had thought that the source page of this information may have been abandoned, as I couldn't find any pages that links to it. But as it was recently updated with the 2021 books, I assume it isn't abandoned.
I'm unsure what the original numbering refers to, as "#1 JACK AND BETTY 1ST STEP" was not the first English textbook used in Japan. owencunn (talk) 13:19, 20 October 2020 (JST)- From Heisei 9~18 it lists New Horizon as an "ENGRISH COURSE." I feel like this is somehow symbolic.
I was looking at the wikihelp page about sortable tables, and I think there might be a way to make them function better. I'll play around with it when I've got some time. --SeanC (talk) 10:12, 21 October 2020 (JST)
