Usage

This template is designed for showing a prefecture information box. It is not designed for cities, towns or villages — those have different templates. To use it, copy the below text and fill in the blanks (between the = and | signs) as described.

• name_en — The name in English.
• name_ja — The name in Japanese (kanji).
• picture — Picture of the prefecture. Optional.
• area — The area in square kilometers.
• population — The population.
• population_date — Date when the population was measured.
• governor_en — The name of the mayor in English. Optional.
• governor_ja — The name of the mayor in Japanese (kanji). Optional.
• capital_address_en — Address of capital in English.
• capital_address_ja — Address of capital in Japanese.
• prefectural_website — Website for the prefecture.
• map_in_japan — A map of the location of the prefecture in Japan. This should be an image, and it should look something like the following:
  Yurihonjo in Akita Prefecture Ja.svg.
• emblem — The prefectural emblem. This should be an image, and it should look something like the following:
  Symbol of Yurihonjo, Akita.svg
• tree_en — The tree in English. Optional.
• tree_ja — The tree in Japanese. Optional.
• flower_en — The flower in English. Optional.
• flower_ja — The flower in Japanese. Optional.
• bird_en — The bird in English. Optional.
• bird_ja — The bird in Japanese. Optional.
• fish_en — The fish in English. Optional.
• fish_ja — The fish in Japanese. Optional.
