Target level | JHS |
- Give each student a worksheet with numbers 1-8 on it.
- Students write the numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 by the numbers 1-8. It is good to have a blow up version as an example. They can write them in any order they want to.
- Dictate the body parts and write them on the board. 1) head 2) eyes 3) mouth 4) ear 5) nose 6) arm 7) hand 8) leg.
- Students write these words for 1-8. They need to an "s" if they have a number higher then 1 next to the word.
- Tell the students that they turn into a monster every night at midnight. Then tell them that the picture on board is you, and describe the picture. I have two eyes. I have one nose.
- Students draw a picture of themselves as a monster. They draw the number of body parts that is on their paper. 5-10 minutes.
- Next, students write the numbers 1-4 next to the words (eye, leg and arm). Students walk around and play janken. The winner asks, and the loser answers. Do you have 3 hands? Yes, I do. Please sign! Only sign in case of Yes.
