You need flashcards. For example, a bike/bicycles, dog/dogs, CD/CD’s, bag/bags, vending machine/vending machines, book/books, pen/pens, pencil/pencils, hand/hands, eye/eyes, ear/ears, boy/boys, girl/girls, student/students, box/boxes, bus/buses, city/cities.
Setup
- Put the students into groups of 6 without their desks. They sit in a circle without their chairs or on the floor.
- Hand out sets of flashcards to each group.
- Students janken for one winner.
- The winner gets the set of flashcards.
Game
- The winner gives one flashcard to each student.
- Each student holds one flashcard in front of them, so that all the other students in the circle can see it.
- The student to the left of the Janken winner goes first and must say, “I have a _____.” Or “I have two ____.”
- If the student forgets to add “S”, all the students must say “Sssssssssssssssssssss” as loudly as they can.
- Then, it is the next student’s turn.
- Once everyone has had a turn, the winner gives the flashcards to another student to shuffle and deal out.
- Repeat from #1.
