- Students walk around and find a partner. They janken. The winner says, "Hi, my name is ___. What is your name?" The partner answers, "My name is ____." Winner, "Are you from ____?" Partner, "Yes, I am." or "No, I am not. I’m from ____." The winner fills in the information on the map worksheet.
- Find different partners and repeat.
Notes
- Complement: Where in the world is this word from? Either do a role-play or just say foreign words. Try to say the words in a context so that the students can understand the meaning. Students try to guess what country the word is from. For example, howdy, mate, brekky, soda.
