The 4th annual Akita International Sumo Basho (第四回秋田県国際相撲場所) took place on Sunday, June 28th 2008 at the Akita Budokan in Akita City. This year 32 men took part in the competition.

Sale
Volunteers were asked to bring baked goods to sell. And there was a "STUFF SALE" on they of the tournament. All clothes were sold for ¥500 and all electronics for ¥1,000. All profits went to Room to Read. What was not sold at the tournament will be sold to Hard Off recycle shop, also to benefit Room to Read.
