Template talk:Sumo Years

From Akita Wiki

Might I recommend inserting a header row at the top of the table like in this example?

Originally I was hoping to get something like this template going:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Years_in_sumo
That automatically aligns 10 across the screen, whatever the size of your window. I'm not sure if we have all the components installed on our wiki to get it working or not though.

That's a good idea! I wonder if you couldn't cheat it by use separate columns. I tried putting each link in its own cell. The coding gets really long but it does automatically span with the window size (though I'm not sure how to remove the faint, white borders around each cell).

Years of the Akita International Sumo Basho
2005 2006 2007 2008 2009
2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018

Nice work Sean!!!
The white lines can be removed like this:

Years of the Akita International Sumo Basho
2005 2006 2007 2008 2009
2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018

Or this:

Years of the Akita International Sumo Basho
2005 2006 2007 2008 2009
2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018

Aha! Cheers!
Removing the background-color tag from each cell really cleans it up.
My personal vote is to replace the current template with the first of the two you posted (with the light-blue/#EDF2F2 background) in keeping with the overall color scheme of the wiki, but Akita Sumo is your domain, so of course I leave the final decision in your hands!--SeanC (talk) 10:00, 12 July 2017 (JST)

I think so, too. I'll update the main template.
Thank you.
