Past tense

The past tense is taught at the end of JHS 1st grade and the beginning of JHS 2nd grade. Past tense is easy to learn, with sentences like I played baseball.

Past irregular

Past progressive

Past progressive (also called past continuous) is used for continuous actions. For example, I was playing baseball then. Many students have the tendency to use past progressive when they should be using past tense.
