Roadside Station - Karinosato Sennan

The Roadside Station - Karinosato Sennan (道の駅雁の里せんなん; Michi no Eki Karinosato Sennan), also named Goose Boy (雁太郎; Gantarō), is a Roadside Station on the Route 13 in Misato.

You'll find a lot of pride in their rice here, along with various strains of rice being sold, including an Akita variant of Koshihikari. You'll also see their mascot "Mizumo" everywhere.

There's a traditional Japanese restaurant located inside where they offer a rice dish made from local rice, cooked fresh to order (though it takes about 20-30 minutes). Their local specialty soba/ramen is very good.

The specialty soft serve ice cream flavor is lavender.
