Talk:Appi Ski Trip
From Akita Wiki
Page Name
I think we should change the name of this page. I recommend Charity Akita's Appi Ski & Snowboarding. I'm worried that that might be too long, though. What do others (specifically members of Charity Akita!) think? --SeanC (talk) 11:21, 28 February 2017 (JST)
- Sean, you bring up a great point! This page was originally called RtR Ski Trip, then it was moved to AAJ Ski Trip. Perhaps a name without the current organizing group would be best. The current naming scheme of all other event pages is without the organization name; Welcome Party, Tatami Parties, Tazawako Camping, Halloween Dance Party, Christmas Caroling, St. Patrick's Day Party, Akita International Sumo Basho, Goodbye Party.
How about Appi Ski Trip or Appi Ski & Snowboarding Trip owencunn (talk) 17:58, 28 February 2017 (JST)
- You bring up some very good points, Owen. I like the idea of removing the organizing group from the title. The organizing group can be listed in the body of the article, and thus more easily edited should the need arise. My assumption, also, is that many people will search for this article using the keyword(s) "Appi" or "Appi Ski Trip" in the search bar, so I move that the page name contain "Appi".
- Personally my vote goes to Appi Ski Trip as the new title - it's short and sweet - but I will leave it up to someone with more authority than me to make the final decision! I'm also not a snowboarder, so I don't have a sense whether snowboarders would take offense or not at being left out. --SeanC (talk) 14:44, 2 March 2017 (JST)
- Changed page name to Appi Ski Trip as per discussion here and Talk:Akita Association of JETs. --SeanC (talk) 13:20, 30 August 2017 (JST)
