Ani Junior High School

The Ani Junior High School Logo - Two mirrored katakana characters ア, the first character in Ani, face each other to symbolize unity (the merger of two JHS into one). On the top is the peak of Mt. Moriyoshi, the symbol of Ani. In the middle is the kanji 中 for junior high school. The whole logo is designed in the shape of spread wings with hope for advancement, harmony, and limitless development.

Ani Junior High School was formed in 1991 by the merger of Daiichi Junior High School (第一中学校) and Daini Junior High School (第二中学校) of Ani Town. These schools are now colloquially referred to as "Ani Daichi JHS (阿仁第一中)" and "Ani Daini JHS (阿仁第二中)".

Ani Junior High School closed on March 31st, 2023. It merged with Aniai Elementary School and Ōani Elementary School into Compulsory Education School Ani Gakuen (義務教育学校阿仁学園), a combined, nine-year compulsory education school, which opened its doors on April 1st, 2023. In the inaugural year of Ani Gakuen's operations, the Ani JHS building was repurposed as the Ani Gakuen Secondary-curriculum Building (後期課程校舎, kōki katei kōsha; i.e. the junior high school-level building). The Ōani ES building was repurposed as the Primary-curriculum Building (前期課程校舎, zenki katei kōsha; i.e. the elementary school-level building). The two levels combined in actuality on April 1st, 2024 using the old Aniai ES building after a year of renovations; at which point the Ani JHS building closed for good.
