Aichi (愛知県;-ken) is a prefecture in the Chubu region of Japan.
- Atsuta Jingu (熱田神宮)
- The shinto shrine Atsuta is where the enshrined deity Atsuta-no-Ookami is worshiped. Atsuta-no-Ookami is Amaterasu-Oomikami as represented by the sacred sword Kusanagi-no-tsurugi, one of the three imperial regalia that symbolize the Imperial throne (the other two being Amaterasu's mirror, and an Imperial jewel). There is a sword museum on the shrine grounds called Atsuta Jingu Museum open from 9-4:30 (please call for what days because they can change randomly).
Takeinadane-no-Mikoto and Miyasuhime-no-Mikoto, first parents of Owari-Uji, indigenous people of Nagoya are also worshipped here.
