JHS Prefectural Speech Contest

The Junior High School Prefectural Speech Contest (秋田県中学校英語暗唱弁論大会) is an annual competition held for the winners of local junior high school speech and recitation contests around the prefecture. It is typically held in mid-September in Akita City. The winner of the prefectural contest for recitation advances to the Tohoku contest (東北六県中学校英語暗唱・高等学校英語弁論大会), and the top 3 winners of the prefectural contest for speech advance to the all-Japan contest held in Tokyo.
