- Greet the whole class, and then greet a few students individually.
|
|
What are these?
- Look at the pictures of capital letters and guess what they represent.
- Answer where you think they are found.
|
- In advance, prepare examples of capital letters being used around you. Bring photos or the actual objects to class.
- Show some of them and ask what they are.
- Show the rest, check what they are and ask where you will find each one.

- Search for capital letters in the town.
- Count the letters and learn there are 26.
|
- Ask where the letters are hiding in the picture. Hold up the alphabet cards one at a time, introduce it then get the kids to search for it. Put the cards in order on the board. (You can check their answers using the digital media)
- Point at the cards on the board and count them with the kids. Introduce how to count 21-30.

- Play the pointing game (version 1 & 2) using the letters on the page.

- After playing version 1, make pairs for version 2.
