- Greet the whole class, and then greet a few students individually.

- Say the countries you know.
- Say the flags you know on page 18. Check by listening to the audio.
- Write the country's name in the space.

- Ask what countries they know and in what situations they have heard them.
- If they know the country names of the flags, get them to share with the class. Get them to write the names in the spaces then play the audio and check the answers.
- Make them aware of the differences between the English and Japanese names.
